Benefits

Benefit Evaluation Utility and open enrollment reminders

2 items ▾
Easier, Faster Benefit Evaluations ★ Notable Feature

Managing benefit evaluations just got easier. Beginning with the October 23 release, the first phase of the modernized Benefit Evaluation Utility introduces a redesigned experience focused on speed, flexibility, and usability.

With the new Benefit Evaluation screen, administrators can filter employee populations before running evaluations, helping them get targeted results faster. Once results are generated, users can sort, filter, group, and customize columns directly within the results grid, then download exactly what they see to Excel. Performance enhancements also help larger organizations run evaluations more efficiently.

Key things to know:

  • Pre-run filtering helps narrow results by criteria such as company, pay group, organization, and employment status.
  • Enhanced performance delivers faster results, even for larger employee populations.
  • Results can be filtered, grouped, searched, and customized without rerunning the evaluation.
  • Excel exports reflect the exact filters, groups, and columns displayed on screen.
  • The new experience is available automatically to users who currently have access to the Benefit Evaluation Utility.
  • Additional evaluation categories will be added throughout the coming quarters.

Open Enrollment Reminders Now Built Into Employee To-Dos ★ Notable Feature

Help employees stay on track during open enrollment with a new automated reminder experience. Starting October 23, eligible employees will automatically see a to-do task in their employee self-service dashboard when it's time to enroll in benefits. Selecting the reminder takes employees directly to the Benefit Enrollment experience, making it easier to begin and complete enrollment.

No setup or configuration is required. Reminders are automatically generated based on the eligibility rules and enrollment dates defined for each open enrollment period. They remain visible until an employee submits their enrollment or the enrollment period ends, and any updates to enrollment dates, plans, or titles are automatically reflected in the task. To ensure reminders are only shown to the appropriate population, terminated, leave-of-absence, ineligible, and new-hire employees are excluded. These built-in reminders help employees complete enrollment on time while reducing manual follow-up for administrators.

COBRA

Pre-sync validation for COBRA Launchpad

1 item ▾
Prevent COBRA Sync Errors Before They Happen ★ Notable Feature

Keeping COBRA plan information accurate is now easier. Beginning October 23, People Cloud HCM will automatically validate benefit plan and rate data before it's sent to COBRA Launchpad.

When you select Sync Rates and Plans, the system checks key plan details in real time and identifies any missing or incorrect information before the sync occurs. If issues are found, you'll receive a detailed error summary showing exactly what needs to be corrected and where to make updates. You can even export errors to CSV to simplify review and correction.

This validation applies to both newly created plans and rates as well as open enrollment renewals, helping ensure complete and accurate data reaches COBRA Launchpad. Because syncs are all-or-nothing, any errors must be resolved before data can be transmitted, reducing the risk of incomplete or out-of-sequence information. Best of all, no setup or configuration is required. The enhancement is automatically available to organizations using the Infinisource COBRA integration.

By catching issues before data is sent, teams can spend less time troubleshooting rejected records and more time focused on benefits administration.

PEO

GL Payee Rule details in PEO GL entries

1 item ▾
PEO GL Entries Now Include GL Payee Rule Details ★ Update

PEOs now have greater visibility into third-party check entries within PEO GL. When a client payee entry is associated with a GL Payee Rule, the rule name will now be included in the item description, making it easier to identify and reconcile transactions.

This enhancement also changes how certain entries are grouped. Previously, entries for different payees could be combined if they posted to the same GL rule and account number. Going forward, entries associated with different GL Payee Rules will be displayed as separate line items, providing more detailed reporting and clearer insight into how transactions are allocated.

For organizations that use GL Payee Rules, this update happens automatically and requires no setup. However, PEOs that import PEO GL data into accounting systems may want to review any import mappings that rely on the item description “Client Payee,” as those descriptions may now include the associated GL Payee Rule name.

By providing more granular payee detail directly in PEO GL entries, this enhancement helps improve transaction visibility and simplifies reconciliation efforts.

Payroll

The Guardian AI agent and Gen 3 screens

2 items ▾
The Guardian Works Wherever Your Payroll Team Does ★ Notable Feature

Routine errors show up run after run: unsupported special characters in names, missing SOC codes, new hires missing from the new hire file. The Guardian, isolved's AI agent for payroll, works on that for you and your clients, in isolved People Cloud or in Claude.

For each client and pay group you support, it checks the payroll before the run closes, ranks what it finds by severity, and has the correction ready for the issues it can fix. You can approve some employees and hold others. In isolved People Cloud, The Guardian widget on the payroll screen shows you everything: alerts sorted by severity, an audit log that records every action and who approved it, a Performance tab with the estimated time and money saved, and the controls that set whether each kind of fix waits for approval or applies without waiting. Your clients' payroll administrators can also ask The Guardian questions in plain language from any page in People Cloud.

Less of every run goes to finding and fixing the same things by hand, and more goes to the clients who need you.

To support a smooth transition, users who encounter an issue can temporarily return to the previous screen version (Gen 2) using the convenient revert option located on the Action bar.

Time

Labor allocation for alert-triggered adjustments

1 item ▾
Ensure Adjustments Follow the Right Labor Allocation ★ Notable Feature

Organizations using automated timekeeping adjustments now have more control over how labor costs are assigned. In the upcoming release, a new option within Hours Allocation Rules allows adjustments triggered by alerts to inherit labor allocation values directly from the hour record that generated the alert.

This enhancement is particularly useful for compliance-related adjustments, such as meal break penalties. Previously, automatic adjustments could be assigned to an employee's default labor allocation, which sometimes required manual corrections when the original hours were charged elsewhere. With the new Labor Source option, organizations can configure adjustment rules to use the labor values from the triggering hour record instead, helping ensure adjustments remain aligned with the original worked time.

The new setting is available when adjustment rules are configured on a per-occurrence basis and can help reduce manual maintenance while improving labor costing, reporting accuracy, and general ledger alignment. By keeping adjustments tied to the labor allocation associated with the alert, organizations can spend less time making corrections and more time trusting their labor data.

To set this feature up for your clients, review the documentation in the University for additional information.

4 items ▾
Meet Sam: AI-Powered Support Now Available in ATS ★ Notable Feature

Release 10/15/26

Say hello to Sam, isolved's AI-powered support assistant. Beginning October 15, users will be able to ask questions directly within ATS chat and receive instant answers based on ATS Help Center content, helping them find information and complete tasks without waiting for support.

Although the chat icon will have a new look, it will remain in the same location in the lower-right corner of the ATS. When Sam can't resolve a question, users are seamlessly connected with a live support agent, with conversation details carried forward to provide a smoother support experience.

This update will be automatically enabled for impacted users, with no action required. Sam's ATS knowledge library will continue to expand over time, and users can continue to leverage the ATS Help Center as an additional resource.

isolved Onboarding: Enhanced History & Progress Tracking ★ Notable Feature

Release 10/7/26

See exactly where every new hire stands in the onboarding process, right from the ATS.

The isolved Onboarding tab has a fresh new look. Each onboarding request now appears as a card with a clear status, a progress bar showing how far along the new hire is, and a note on what's holding things up, all updated automatically as they complete onboarding steps.

A quick summary at the top shows how many requests are active or incomplete. Your most recent request shows first, with older requests one click away.

Restart Onboarding now sits at the top of the history section and opens a simple two-step flow: choose the legal code and onboarding template, review the applicant information, and send. You'll get a confirmation as soon as onboarding starts.

No setup is required; these enhancements will appear automatically for customers with isolved onboarding enabled and configured.

Attach a Supporting Document Directly to Requisitions ★ Notable Feature

Release 10/14/26

Keep everything approvers need in one place. You can now attach a supporting document, such as a budget approval or organizational chart, directly to a requisition. Reviewers and approvers, including external approvers accessing the requisition through a portal link, can view and download the document right from the requisition, giving them the context they need without searching through emails or separate systems.

Available for Premium ATS clients using Requisitions, this enhancement requires no additional setup or configuration. Each requisition can include one supporting document, and permissions follow existing access controls. Users with view access can download the attachment, while users with edit permissions can replace or remove it as needed. To maintain a single source of truth, attachments are accessed directly from within the requisition and are not included in email notifications.

By keeping supporting documentation connected to the approval workflow, teams can reduce back-and-forth communication, provide better context for approval decisions, and maintain a clear record of the information reviewed throughout the hiring process.
